“The Cloud” is meant to make you focus on things above your line of sight. This portion of the installation consists of a giant inflatable cloud, 3 DMX lights, a solar panel targets, and a bowl of laser pointers. Guests will take the laser pointers and aim them at the targets. If a guest hits a target, it will cue one of 6 possible events. Possible Events: Thunder strike, Pink Bubbles, Ice, Fire, Grass, Wind Chimes. Events consist of changing lights and sounds. “The Cloud” is made of 40 yards of ripstop nylon. The pattern for sewing it together is made up of two faces and a middle interlayer. All solar panel data is being sent to an Arduino and turned into MIDI control data that I can send to the main Max/MSP patch.
